One of the key and challenging issues is the type of governance and how to govern society, which in recent years has been considered by researchers in the field of political science and management. In this direction, one of the important models in the field of governance is the rule of Imam Ali (AS). This research seeks to extract the definition and role of Islamic governance based on their statements. The research method is qualitative, which has been done through the method of qualitative content analysis based on the books of Nahj al-Balaghah, Gharr al-Hakam, and Dar al-Kalam. Based on the findings of the study, Islamic governance was defined as follows: Determining, applying and applying Shari'a-based rules with the unity and sincere cooperation of the ummah-based actors based on the brotherhood with the focus on the province to achieve justice and growth and guide society on the path of rapprochement To God. The planners also include regulators, advocates, hypocrites and enemies, growth institutions, public opinion institutions, the military and security institutions, the ruling house (secretaries and ruling relatives), the judiciary, government agents, the people (Muslims and non-Muslims), the deprived. , Economic institutions (merchants and industrialists) that the province is at the center of these planners who were classified into three sections, province, properties and ummah.
