Designing a competency model for the board of trustees of Endowments and Charitable Affairs Organization

Abstract

Competency-orientation is one of the most important topics in human resource management. The purpose of the research is to design a competency model for the Board of Trustees of Endowments and Charitable Affairs Organization. In the first stage, library studies were conducted with the aim of extracting theoretical issues of competence. In the methodological part, thematic analysis has been used. In the first part, all the upstream documents are analyzed and their contents are extracted and in the second part, semi-structured interviews with managers, some trustees of endowments and other experts have been analyzed and finally common themes have been extracted in the form of a competency model. This model has 4 main parts: “Skill”, “Motivation”, “Knowledge” and “Personal Characteristics”. The skills include "developing and improving endowments, following up and protecting the rights of endowments, improving the productivity of endowments, faithful implementation of intentions and executive management skills". In the academic section, one should be familiar with "improving the productivity of endowments, legality and faithful implementation of intentions". Regarding the motivational, he should be value-oriented and in terms of personal characteristics, he should be "lawful, committed, science -oriented" and general characteristics should be considered appropriate to the task
