Components and characteristics of ethics and political behavior of Islamic State agents From the perspective of the Supreme Leader

Abstract

Islamic management in Iranian society can be considered as one of the main revolutionary keywords in which Islam is central; In this regard, from the point of view of the Imam (RA) and the position of supreme leadership (Madazla-ul-Ali), politics, ethics, and the resulting individual and social behavior cannot be separated from religion. From the point of view of the wise leaders of the revolution, in Islam, power is connected with morality, and power devoid of morality is a cruel and usurping power. Therefore, one of the requirements of Islamic management is the commitment and adherence of the agents of the Islamic state to Islamic ethics and the behavior resulting from it for the application of politics in the society, which requires different political behavior from the common political patterns in other countries.
With the aim of identifying the characteristics of Islamic political ethics and behavior, the present research addressed the question of what are the indicators of Islamic political ethics and behavior from the point of view of the supreme leader? To answer the research question, the sayings of His Holiness from 1368 until now were analyzed using the Atrid-Sterling method, which is one of the coding methods in thematic analysis, and the conclusion was reached that the indicators of ethics and political behavior considered by him are in the components of faith, insight, Correct explanation, trust, justice, courage, rule of law, expediency and sustainability can be categorized with 34 indicators that are included in the model at the end of the research.
