Abstract
The research has deliberated the administrative corruption problem by using the documentary method and descriptive-analytic method based on the contents of the holy Quran and the most original texts of the Shiite traditions. The nature of the administrative corruption was elaborated from this viewpoint which is explained as causing any sabotage and deviation in the objectives and proper performance of the Islamic government. Furthermore, some of the clear forms of administrative corruption as bribery, nepotism, fraud, and deception have been referred in these texts. Then, to answer the research questions, the general and individual outcomes of corruption have been enumerated and finally, the courses of action for combatting against this phenomenon have been classified in organizational, economic, cultural, and judicial ones. The results of the research indicate that, in spite of being new, the administrative corruption problem has been discussed in the Islamic sources regarding the position and importance of the government in man’s material and heavenly transcendence. In general, Islam bears a multilateral and systemic view toward the backgrounds and courses of action for combatting against the administrative corruption.
